My Story

Who Am I?

Hi there! I'm Susannah Jones. I'm a British American game programmer with two years of AAA industry experience and an educational background in computer science and architecture (the building/design kind, not the computer kind). I've played games and built things my whole life, and nothing brings me more joy than working on a team to bring a game project to fruition!

I'm very passionate about UI/UX design and implementation and ensuring that all players have a positive user experience. I can be reached at susannahcodes@gmail.com or on Twitter @susannahcodes.

My Training

Education & Certifications

I earned my bachelor's of arts in computer science from the University of Virginia's College of Arts and Sciences, and my minor from the college of architecture. Throughout my school career, I was involved many clubs and was an active part of the hacking community.

Some of my hackathon projects have won prizes, including best UX and best use of Google technologies!

Here are a few highlights!

  • Webmistress (2017) & Hackathon Chair (2018) : Women in Computing Sciences at UVA
  • External Relations Officer (2017) : Game Developers at UVA
  • Teaching Assistant (2016-2018) : Human Computer Interaction, 3D Computer Animation, and Game Design

In the evenings after work, I completed a 6-week online certification in Human-Computer Interaction from MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab. The certificate can be seen digitally here.
